It’s been a very long time since I updated my own website, in part because this blog has kept me busy with keyboard time. I finally sat down and made some updates, including adding a link to this site on it. I also did some serious editing of the work on the site as I noticed there were a lot of older images there that didn’t really fit with what I’m doing now. I’m also feeling that I’m not crazy about the site’s look and feel overall, and want to gut the thing and start over. It is fairly clean, but I’m still not loving it. I don’t know if I should stay with the current hosting service or if I should switch. The current site uses Flash, which is becoming more of an issue when dealing with mobile devices as more and more of them are dropping Flash support. Please take a look at it and provide feedback!

Hi there. I love your blog! I checked out your website as requested. Really enjoyed your folio. I agree it looks good though I do have a few comments. I felt the navigation from image to image was a bit slow, although that could be my computer. A large white frame flashes up before the next image loads which is distracting and not something that usually happens on other photography sites. It is good to see the thumbnails but once I had decided I wanted to look through a series of shots I would’ve liked to be able to click on an arrow to load each subsequent image in the sequence. I loved your style but felt that they would be better showcased if we could see them in a slightly larger format, to see more detail. Hope this is the type of critique you were looking for!
That’s exactly the kind of critique I am looking for. Some of the changes you recommend will be easy, some not, as they are artifacts of the hosting service’s web platform. I’ll play around with some of the other interface designs they offer, and if I can’t find a template I like that does better, I’ll be switching to a new service. Any tips on services you like?
